The march lasted about 5 days, began on March 21, 1965. The march route was 54 miles long it was on U.S route 80, that route is know as the Jefferson Davis Highway. The march was protected by the Alabama National Guard, the U.S army, some FBI agents.
The result of the march was that the African American got there voting rights.
